    Inspired by President Kennedy's call to service, Jerry Federlein joined the Peace Corps to change the world. What he didn't know at the time was that he would meet his future wife, Nancy Smith (who was on a similar mission, Voluntary Service Overseas, on behalf of Great Britain), in Eastern Nigeria in 1966. From that moment, they began a life of community service together that would span decades and enrich the lives of countless Port Washington residents. 

     

     

    Join us on Monday, March 31st, to learn more about this special couple, their remarkable journey together, and their work with the Port Jewish Center, the Community Chest of Port Washington, Landmark on Main Street, Port Soccer, the Job Seekers Network, and so much more.
