North Hempstead Council Member Mariann Dalimonte and Northwell Health present a Flu Vaccine Pod. Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness that can cause mild to severe illness. Some people, such as older people, young children and those with certain health conditions, are at high risk for serious flu complications. The best way to protect against the flu is by getting vaccinated each year. Northwell will have two vaccines:
- Vaccine for anyone over the age of 65
- Vaccine for anyone under the age of 65
