Who is Heresy? Well, first, who they are not. They are not the British punk rock band from the 80s. Or any of a number of other bands that have apparently used the name over the years. This Heresy is an American progressive rock band, who started playing New York clubs in the 70s, released two albums in the 80s, and is now back together, having just released their third album! In addition to their original material, they have also done many shows with covers of the likes of Jethro Tull (including appearances at conventions), ELP, The Who, Genesis, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Yes, Cream, Bowie, Beatles and the Moody Blues. If you listen hard enough, you can probably hear influences of all those groups in their original material, though they really don't sound quite like any of them! Catch Heresy live at the Sousa Bandshell at Sunset Park for a very special SoundSwap musical event! Heresy features: Tony Garone (vocals, guitar), Scott Harris (keyboards), Ed Clark (electric guitar), John Sergio (bass) and Chris Camilleri (drums)
