The event is a family friendly paddle around Manhasset Bay. This is not a race; water crafts go at their own speed and you do NOT have to make all the stops. While the event is called a "Kayak Run," canoes and paddle boards are welcome (so long as they are human-powered!) We encourage first-time paddlers. There are many safety boats on the Bay, the fire boat is also present as is a back-up helicopter. You will be safe.
